WHAT IS kyusho ?
Kyusho is the study of pressure point and vital targeting.
Its study can be overlaid onto any Martial art, traditional or otherwise, giving the practitioner an enhanced knowledge of how the body works and how to manipulate its weaknesses.
However, its study is not only something for the Martial artist. With no strength needed, Kyusho can be used effectively by non Martial Artists seeking a quick and effective method of self defence. However, Kyusho Do Director Jim Hulse strongly recommends that one studies a good martial art to enable an effective delivery system.
Other programmes offered by Kyusho Do
Qigong and emergency first aid are included in the Kyusho Do structure. A Kyusho Do Qigong teaching Diploma programme is available for students holding the rank of Shodan and above in Kyusho Do. The Emergency First Aid is open to anyone, Martial Artist or not, and will be valid for 3 years. The Qigong programme is recognised by the Complimentary Medicine Association of GB and the Emergency First Aid is a Government recognised course.
Kyusho Do is the culmination of many like minded practitioners coming together under one banner to both learn and instruct.
